Building Services Design Engineer - £45+ and benefits, 70% - Home-based working
The Role
Are you an experienced Building Services Design Engineer with a passion for innovative solutions and a drive for excellence? Do you possess a strong practical understanding of commercial plumbing and renewables systems? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.
We are a trusted specialist provider of bespoke hot water systems to the building services industry, looking to appoint an experienced Building Services Design Engineer to our growing team. Your role will be both challenging and rewarding, with a diverse range of responsibilities that allow you to make a meaningful impact.
This role is primarily home-based with occasional site visits and off-site meetings. Standard working hours with occasional early mornings or overnights will be required.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and talented engineer to further their career within a well-established company and small, friendly team.
Key Responsibilities:
Applications design engineering
Determine client requirements.
Carry out sizing and design work (mechanical and controls)
Presenting proposals of best engineered systems using renewable and traditional energy sources.
Product design and development
Design complementary ancillary products for hot water systems
Investigation of applicable standards
Selection and coordination of production partners,
Prototyping, testing and approving
Product Management
Continuous product improvement
Training
Quality assurance

The Person
Degree in engineering.
5+ years’ experience in building services in either applications design, product design, or product management.
A strong practical understanding of commercial plumbing systems is vital.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Well organised, with a high level of attention to detail
Self-starter
Motivated
Ability to self-manage time and tasks.
